Privileges Required to Use Core Platform Functions

To use Core Platform Functions definitions, you need one of the following:

  • scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
  • system or Partition-level permissions
  • object-specific privileges

Using Definitions

The following privilege ranks are required for the definitions:

  • View - on Partitions GLOBAL, REDWOOD and the Partition(s) of the Queue and Job Server.
  • View - on the Application GLOBAL.Redwood.REDWOOD.Core_Platform_Functions.
  • Run - on Job Definitions REDWOOD.Redwood_Core_CopyFile, REDWOOD.Redwood_Core_DeleteFile, REDWOOD.Redwood_Core_DirectoryListing, and/or REDWOOD.Redwood_Core_MoveFile.
  • Submit and View - allows you to submit and view processes in the Queue used by the Platform Agent.
  • View - on the Job Server used by the Platform Agent.

You always need View privileges on the Partition of the Queue.

Built-in Roles

  • The scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator built-in role provides full control over Queues.
  • The scheduler-viewer built-in role provides read-only access to Queues.
