Installing Redwood Insights
Note: Redwood Insights requires RunMyJobs 2025.2 or later, and is currently available only for SaaS customers.
Note: Redwood Insights supports up to 20 simultaneous requests. Beyond that limit, performance may slow down until one of the existing sessions is terminated.
To install Redwood Insights:
-
Locate Redwood Insights in the Catalog and install it.
-
Run the Insights_Deployment_Flow Workflow and monitor its execution until it has succeeded. This Workflow deploys the reporting database schema, sets up the data model, schedules the Insights_ETL_Flow Workflow to run every five minutes, and performs various other setup tasks.
-
Go to the Monitor screen and verify that the first run of the Insights_ETL_Flow Workflow has succeeded.
Note: You do not need to run the Insights_ETL_Flow Workflow manually. It will be automatically scheduled to run every five minutes.
Note: Customers with a large volume of Jobs may experience a five-to-ten minute delay after the initial run of the Insights_ETL_Flow Workflow before the Insights dashboards begin to display data.
-
By default, only users with the redwood-administrator role will be able to view the Redwood Insights UI. To grant access to other users, someone with either the redwood-administrator Role or the redwood-cloud-administrator Role can assign the redwood-insights-viewer Role to other users.
If you have issues with installation, see the Troubleshooting topic.
Note: Due to a known issue in the Catalog, newly installed Extensions may not display the correct installed version. To verify that Redwood Insights has been installed, navigate to Configure > Automate > Folders > Redwood > Insights and make sure the Description column shows Redwood Automation Insights (1.1.0.0).
